Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme 2024: Apply Online & Eligibility

The Assam Orunodoi Scheme continues to evolve, providing essential financial support to nearly 20 lakh families in the state. Starting from October, the monthly aid will increase from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250, with an additional Rs 250 earmarked for electricity expenses. This change aims to promote financial responsibility among beneficiaries, who will now manage their electricity payments directly. The government plans to update the beneficiary list, incorporating six lakh more eligible families, while encouraging those with improved financial situations to voluntarily exit the program. This update ensures that the support reaches the most needy households in Assam.

What is the Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme
2024?

Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma launched Arunodoi Asoni Scheme with the aim of Poverty Alleviation Programme in the State. Under This Scheme, Every Eligible Woman of the State will get Rs. 1,250 directly to her bank account on the 10th of Every Month.  

Financial Assistance is being provided to economically backward households of Assam Through Direct Benefit Transfer. A total of 12 lakh New Beneficiary will be Covered at the Rate of 10,000 households per Legislative Assembly Constituency. Orunodoi 3.0 Online Application will be Start from 19 September 2024.

There are two Government Schemes Named Deen Dayal Divyangjan Achoni and Indira Miri Sarbojanin Biswa Pension Achoni Submerged into Orunodoi Scheme. This has resulted in the Largest DBT scheme in the State of Assam.

Benefits of the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme

Arunodoi Asoni will benefit about 27.77 lakh eligible households in the State. Each beneficiary will get Rs. 1250 per month on the 10th of Every month. Orunodoi Scheme has been Providing financial Assistance to the 27.77 lakh women in the State through Direct Benefit Transfer Mode. 

Orunodoi Scheme Covers the Expenses for Medicine for taking care of health which is Rs. 400 per family, 200 per family given to provide a 50% subsidy for buying 4 Kgs Sugar, Rs. 150 given for Fruits & Vegetables, and Rs. 170 will be given for Essential Needs and Rs. 250 of Deen Dayal Divyangjan Achoni and Indira Miri Sarbojanin Biswa Pension Achoni. The amount totals to 1250 per month for the Beneficiary, keep note that Rs. 250 will be provided only when you are Registered in the above Two Schemes.

The Finance Minister of Assam has Declared that an additional Rs. 150 will be given to beneficiaries under this Scheme through the Financial Budget of 2023-24. This will amount to Rs. 1400 per month for Beneficiaries.

  • Applicants should be permanent residents of Assam.
  • Applicants should be presently residing in Assam.
  • Household income should not be greater than 2 lakh rupees.
  • Beneficiaries should have a Bank account and their name should match the bank’s Record. 
  • Households without female members will be excluded. 
  • Widows, divorced females, and Differently Abled will get Priority in the Application Process. 
  • All regular Serving Employees will be Excluded from the Scheme. 
  • All Retired Government Officers will also be Excluded. 
  • Houses having Four wheelers will also get excluded.
  • Income taxpayers will not be able to fill out forms.

Ration cards are authorized documents issued by the Government authority for getting benefits under PDS. Before the accomplishment of NFSA’2013 in the State, there were three types of Ration Cards, named as Family Identity Cards (FIC) in Assam. These three types of ration cards were meant for
